Answering calls today, 7 AM to 7 PM

Florida is hard on air conditioners. We keep yours running.

A Florida year, from your AC's point of view.

Up north, an air conditioner gets a long winter off. Here it barely gets a weekend. This is what yours goes through, and when we look after it.

71°

January to March

The breather.

Mild days, cool nights. The quietest stretch of the year, and the easiest time to replace a tired system without a rush.

88°

April and May

The warm-up.

The first real heat finds whatever wore out last year. Spring Kestrel Care visit: coils cleaned, drain cleared, refrigerant checked.

91°

June to September

The long haul.

Heat, humidity, salt air and summer storms. Your system runs almost without stopping, and this is when small problems turn into no-cooling calls.

86°

October and November

The recovery.

Storm season winds down. Fall Kestrel Care visit: we check what the summer wore down and fix it before it fails.

74°

December

The reset.

Shorter days, lighter work. A good month to plan an upgrade, before the next long haul.

Repair or replace? Get a straight answer.

Two quick questions. This isn't a sales tool: if a repair is the sensible choice, it says so. We'll always confirm in person before you spend a dollar.

1How old is your system?
2What's been happening? Pick any

Answer the two questions and your result appears here.

Salt air wins eventually.

Corroded fins can't move heat out of your house, so the system runs longer and cools less. Drag to see the same spot before and after a replacement.

After: a new outdoor AC unit on a fresh level pad
Before: an old outdoor AC unit with corroded, bent fins and rust streaks

What we fix, install and look after

A technician checking refrigerant pressure at an outdoor AC unit

We find the cause, not just the symptom.

Repair. Not cooling, short-cycling, freezing up, leaking or making a new noise. Your technician explains what failed and why, then gives you the price before touching anything.

A technician sealing new insulated ductwork in a Florida attic

Sized for your house, not the last one on the truck.

New systems and ducts. A new system is only as good as the air it can move. We size it to your home, check the ducts it depends on, and walk you through the options in plain English.

Kestrel Care: two visits a year, fewer surprises in August.

One visit before the heat, one after it. Plan members also get priority scheduling during the hottest weeks, when everyone's AC is struggling.

Quick answers

Do you charge to come out?

There's a diagnostic fee to find the problem. We'll tell you the amount on the phone before anyone drives over, so there are no surprises.

Do you work on every brand?

We service and repair all the common central air brands found in Florida homes.

My AC is running but the house is still humid. Can you help?

Yes. That's often a sizing, airflow or duct problem rather than a broken unit. We'll check the whole system, not just the box outside.

What should I do while I wait for you?

Check that the thermostat is set to cool and the breaker hasn't tripped. If the indoor unit is iced over, switch the system off and run just the fan until we arrive.

Back to cool, usually by tonight.
